Rapid Fall detection
The first app Senior Sentry is developing performs fall detection and prevention. Rapid fall detection and response is a must for 12% of seniors, who do not receive help within on hour, will die. The reasons are twofold: 50% of seniors who fall cannot get up and a large number of seniors suffer brain injury. A second need for rapid detection and response is that seniors with mild cognitive impairment and dementia account for almost 50% of falls. Often a traumatic event, will limit their capacity to reach out for help.
